tu mundo, mi mundo

This body of work investigates the complexity of childhood, family life and bonds
from the perspective of a mother.
Kids constantly explore the idea of death without understanding its reality. After one of my children became ill, my perspective about life changed dramatically. This experience made me see their fragility in its rawest form. Seeing them in a vulnerable state altered my sense of reality.

It was only natural to point the camera at them and document the situation
we endured as a family.  I photographed their world.  Their world became mine.
